Původní EP album 1039 9776 "V překrásném měsíci máji (Družina májová)" vydal v roce 1979 Supraphon jako přílohu stejnojmenné knihy, souboru básní a dokumentárních textů většiny autorů, kteří se v r. 1858 představili v almanachu Máj. Na gramofonovou desku byly nahrány básně Za noci bouřné byl jsem narozen (Josef Barák), Hej, hoši, píseň divokou, Slunéčko spadlo za horu (Adolf Heyduk), Primula veris, Jen postůj, To byly lásko.

Karel Konrád se projevil jako nelítostný útočný satirik, pranýřující politické poměry v buržoazní republice. Publikovány byly především jeho epigramy a satirické básně. Na jejich bojovné zaměření měla jistě vliv i poezie V.Majakovského, kterou jako jeden z prvních u nás překládal. V Trnu byly porpvé otištěny "Epištoly k nesmělým milencům"....(1930). Konrádův humor neměl však trvale jen ostré hrany satiry. Již v souboru prvních próz, publikovaných pod názvem "Robinsonáda" (1926), se výrazně projevilo lyrické ladění tvorby tohoto autora. Jeho próza je označována jako imaginativní, blížící se básním v próze, prozrazuje, do jaké míry byl Konrád - literát - "dítětem svého věku".
